Before you step inside
What happens when you leave the studio?
A work can be finished and still reach no one. The problem is not always in the hands that made it.
This book begins at that threshold: showing what you have made, sustaining your practice, telling your own name apart from the public face that stands for you. There are stories, questions and exercises. The other half of the craft waits outside the studio.
Editorial clues / No endings revealed
Something is already
out of place.
- 01
The hands
Making something and helping it find its people are different kinds of work.
- 02
The public face
The name people recognize does not contain everything you are.
- 03
The practice
A question only begins the work. What you do with it comes next.
